Private Music Commission Terms

Please review these terms before purchasing. After purchase, you will receive an agreement to sign before the creative session begins.

Services

60-minute private creative session: A private, one-on-one conversation to explore your vision, language, aspirations, and the themes you want reflected in your recordings. This is an artistic discovery and creative direction session.

Personalized affirmation song: One personalized affirmation song sung by Coax Marie. You will select an instrumental from her existing curated music collection. Material from your creative session will be used to develop and record your personalized vocal interpretation. This commission does not include the creation of a new instrumental from scratch. Fully original bespoke songwriting and instrumental composition are separate services.

Companion affirmation audio: One personalized affirmation audio featuring your own recorded voice. You will provide the voice recording, which Coax Marie will arrange and produce with music.

Eight-hour sleep listening edition: An extended listening arrangement developed from your companion affirmation audio using the existing recorded material. It does not consist of eight hours of newly composed music.

Private listening session and digital delivery: A private Zoom session to listen to your completed recordings together. Your finished audio files will also be delivered digitally for personal listening.

Price and payment options

The complete private commission is $2,500 USD. Choose one of the following:

Pay in full: $2,500 at checkout.
Two-payment plan: $1,250 at checkout and $1,250 the following month.
Four-payment plan: $625 at checkout and three additional monthly payments of $625.

For payment plans, the remaining installments will be invoiced separately. The agreement will be sent after purchase. The creative session and production work begin after the full commission price is paid and the agreement is signed.

Cancellation and refunds

Pay in full

If you cancel before the private creative session, 50% of the $2,500 commission price ($1,250) will be retained in consideration of the time reserved for your project. The remaining $1,250 will be refunded less a $250 processing fee, resulting in a $1,000 refund. Once the private creative session has taken place, the commission becomes non-refundable.

Payment plans

If you cancel before the private creative session, 50% of the payments made will be retained in consideration of the time reserved for the project. The remaining 50% will be refunded, less a $250 processing fee. Once the private creative session has taken place, payments made toward the commission become non-refundable.

If a scheduled payment is missed without communication, and Coax Marie has made three attempts to contact you, payments made will be forfeited and the project will be voided.

Project Timeline & Completion

The estimated production and delivery timeline is 14–21 days after the creative session and receipt of your voice recording.

Timely communication and scheduling are essential. If there is a lapse in communication or response exceeding 30 days, and Coax Marie has made three attempts to contact you, the project may be considered abandoned and marked as completed. If the project is marked as completed under this policy, no refund will be issued, and any work completed up to that point will be delivered as is.

To resume a paused or abandoned project, a $350 reactivation fee may apply. A new timeline will be established based on Coax Marie’s availability.

Revision

Because this commission is an expression of Coax Marie’s artistry and musical interpretation, one minor revision or update is included.

Personal Use & Ownership

Your completed recordings are provided for personal listening only. You may not commercially release, sell, license, distribute, post publicly, or otherwise commercially use the recordings without prior written permission. Any commercial use or different usage rights require a separate written agreement.

Coax Marie retains ownership of the original material and recordings she creates and owns under this commission, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Rights belonging to you or third parties remain with their respective owners.

You retain rights in the voice recording and any other original material you provide. By participating in the commission, you give Coax Marie permission to use those materials as needed to create and deliver your recordings.

Commercial Release of the Song

A version of the commissioned song featuring only Coax Marie’s vocals may be considered for commercial release if both you and Coax Marie mutually agree. The song will not be commercially released without your approval. Before release, a separate written agreement will specify your royalty share, the income it applies to, payment arrangements, and any approved use of your name or identifying details. Your recorded voice will not be commercially released without your separate written consent.

Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure

Both you and Coax Marie agree to maintain the confidentiality of private, proprietary, creative, technical, or strategic information exchanged during the project. This includes musical compositions, arrangements, lyrics, session files, creative direction, brand strategies, marketing plans, business goals, internal documentation, production processes, affirmation scripts, original methodologies, unreleased drafts, audio files, behind-the-scenes communications, and personal information shared during the creative session.

Neither party will disclose the other’s confidential information to a third party, or copy, publish, or reuse it outside the purposes of this commission, without the originating party’s written consent. Confidentiality continues during and after the project. This does not prevent disclosures required by law, communications with professional advisers, or lawful reviews and statements about your experience. Your name, image, testimonial, or recorded voice will not be used to promote the commission service without your permission.

Mental Health Disclaimer

The recordings are artistic works intended for personal affirmation listening, reflection, and enjoyment. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a medical or mental health condition and do not replace professional care. The creative session is an artistic discovery and creative direction session. It is not therapy, counseling, hypnosis, or medical treatment. You are responsible for your own use of and experience with the recordings.

Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Coax Marie, as Producer, from any injury, property damage, liability, claim, or other cause of action arising out of or related to the songs provided under this commission.

Public Statements & Reviews

Both parties agree not to make knowingly false statements of fact about one another. Nothing in these terms prevents you from sharing an honest review or truthful account of your experience, or from reporting concerns to an appropriate authority.
